"We are hearing from a lot of unhappy parents in Dubai," commented Adam Caller, founder of Tutors International. "Many are losing faith in the education provided by the most prestigious schools in the city, and it seems that the drop in standards is being caused by the collapse of the property industry. The Dubai property industry has not escaped the economic downturn, with property prices over 40% lower in 2009 compared to the same period in 2008. "As a result, the foreign property developers, architects and surveyors are leaving the country and obviously their wives are leaving with them, resulting in what seems to be a staffing crisis in many of the private schools in Dubai," explained Adam.
