LateRooms.com - Reverend Horton Heat to Tour Bilbao
Bilbao is poised to host the Reverend Horton Heat in April, with the legendary singer intent on bringing back the sounds of the 1950s and 1960s at his shows.
BILBAO, SPAIN, March 04, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Music fans around the world will be aware of the talents of the Reverend Horton Heat, but the latest tour to roll into Bilbao shifts the focus from punkabilly to laidback raw country tunes.
Led by Jim "Reverend Horton" Heath, the band has been recording and touring for more than 20 years and now people staying in hotels in Bilbao will have the chance to experience their live show at Kafe Antzokia on April 10th.
Tickets for the show cost EUR28 and can be purchased online at the Spanish version of Ticketmaster, with doors set to open at 21:00 (local time).
The group will be touring their new Laughin' and Cryin' record and fans will have the bonus of seeing Supersuckers in support.
It is their tenth album to date and their third on the Yep Roc label, on which they also released Revival and We Three Kings.
"Welcome to Laughin' and Cryin' with the Reverend Horton Heat a record full of country-heavy tunes about bad habits, well-meaning but clueless husbands, ever-expanding beer-guts and, well, Texas," explained the band's official website.
Lead singer and guitarist Heath described on the same online hub that he wanted to recreate recordings from the 1950s and 1960s with the album, so anyone heading to the show can expect a truly retro show.
"The Reverend Horton Heat is likely to be popular," said Jess Reading, head of marketing at LateRooms. "LateRooms strongly recommends people considering attending to book hoteles en Bilbao as soon as possible."
