The Doobie Brothers will take to the stage at Dusseldorf's Philipshalle on Tuesday October 26th.

The California-based band are set to perform at the German city's Philipshalle venue on October 26th - a gig that is sure to create increased demand for Dusseldorf hotel bookings.

Having been inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004, the Doobie Brothers are set to unveil a brand new album, World Gone Crazy, later this month.

They will follow the release - their first since Sibling Rivalry in 2000 - with a series of shows across Europe, including performances in Milan, Paris, London and Dublin.

However, German fans will be most excited about the Dusseldorf date, as the group are not playing any other concerts in the country this year.

People heading to the gig can expect to hear plenty of tracks from the new album, including recent single Nobody.

This release is a re-recorded version of The Doobie Brothers' very first single, which appeared on the band's self-titled debut album in 1972.

Classic hits such as What a Fool Believes, China Grove and Long Train Runnin' are also expected to feature in the set as the group celebrate their return to the recording scene.

Tickets for the Dusseldorf concert can be bought online and are priced between EUR56.20 and EUR67.70 (GBP46.80 and GBP56.40) plus booking fee.

According to the Philipshalle website, The Doobie Brothers have been responsible for spreading "a lot of good vibrations in the world" over the four decades of their career.

The venue noted that there is "no mistaking" the trademark sound of the group, which mixes Motown, folk, country and rock influences.
