The World Film Festival of Bangkok 2011 will see more than 80 international films screened in the Thai capital this November.

BANGKOK, THAILAND, September 28, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cinephiles can head to Bangkok this November in order to attend the World Film Festival of Bangkok 2011, a showcase of lesser-known movies from around the globe.
 
Taking place between November 4th and 13th this year, the event aims to offer a range of works from the EU, the Americas and Asia, including shorts, documentaries, animations and experimental productions.
 
It has been running in its current incarnation since 2003, with films from noted directors such as Werner Herzog, Terry Gilliam, Roman Polanski and Jean-Pierre Jeunet having been screened in the past.
 
Each year, the festival plays host to more than 80 international films as well as a range of talks, masterclasses and other movie-related goings-on, with last year's event incorporating a lookalike contest and a lucky draw competition for guests.
 
By attracting directors, stars and film lovers alike, the event is designed to establish Bangkok as a centre for filmmaking and movies.
 
The World Film Festival of Bangkok 2011 will be held at the Paragon Cineplex and Esplanade Cineplex Ratchadapisek.
