AsiaRooms.com - Endangered Exhibition Coming to Kuala Lumpur's Taksu Gallery
The Taksu gallery in Kuala Lumpur is to play host to a two-man exhibition called Endangered in the coming weeks.
KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, October 18, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Visitors to Kuala Lumpur will soon be able to view an exhibition called Endangered at the Taksu art gallery, showcasing the work of two local artists.
Hirzaq Harris and Najib Ahmad have collaborated to create the show, which meditates on the subject of near-extinct animals and related activities through the medium of paintings.
According to the organisers, the exhibition will use creative storytelling techniques to "question the notions of self and others in relation to space and time", meaning it is sure to be a thought-provoking experience for attendees.
The event is due to open with a reception event on October 20th and will run through until November 10th.
Opening hours at the gallery - located at Jalan Pawang - are between 10:00 and 19:00 local time, from Monday to Saturday each week.
The Taksu Kuala Lumpur venue is part of a chain of contemporary art galleries that aims to showcase the best of the local art community, with another exhibition called Doppelgangers - by Filipino painter Gerardo Tan - also being held in November.
Art lovers can find a wide selection of Kuala Lumpur hotels at AsiaRooms.com, including the Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel.
